Welcome! I am Amanda Harris and I have devoted many years to obtaining an education that would allow me the opportunity to provide direct care to patients. I began that journey working for an amazing Nurse Practitioner as her Certified Nursing Assistant. It was through her that I was inspired to continue to pursue my goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner as well. I spent many years at the bedside in acute care facilities and it wasn’t until I completed a clinical rotation for grad school at a local birth center that I truly found my calling and where my heart belongs. With those that I can relate to the most… WOMEN.

I spent almost 6 years working as a women’s health primary care provider creating, growing, and nurturing partnering relationships with my patients. I was given the greatest opportunity to work with an amazing group of women who inspired me to make a way of my own in this great profession. This inspiration lead me to create Branches of Hickory Healthcare and make a way to provide high quality patient-centered care to women in my own community. I couldn’t think of a better way to further my career, pursue my passion, and live out my dream.

I am also a Wife and Mother of 2. I am married to the love of my life Andy, who has provided me with unconditional love and support throughout this whole journey. He truly believes in me and what I am doing and for that I am forever grateful. I have a delightful, imaginative, creative little girl and a adventurous, courageous, and loving little boy both of which we cannot wait to see what they do in this world. Lastly, and most importantly, I am a Christian and am profoundly grateful for God’s plan for my life and that through it I get to experience endless blessings.
